THOUGHTS ON THE TAX CUT HOLIDAY EXPIRING

It is very hard to take something away from anyone once they are accustomed to having it. Haven’t you ever given a child a toy to play with in a store, then putting it back on the shelf before leaving?
It is the same thing with the payroll tax cut provided for wage earners last year with an expiration date included. That expiration date is December 31, 2011, and the rates are supposed to go back to normal.
To begin with, payroll taxes are not really taxes; they are an involuntary participation in Social Security INSURANCE. The so called tax holiday amounts to $2 for every $100 earned by the worker. For someone earning minimum wage and working full time, this meant their take home pay increased about $6 a week. Read the rest of this entry
TEA Party vs County Commissioners (Round 2)
On Monday October 24 about 25 Le Flore County citizens gathered in the County Commissioners room at the courthouse to show support for Dewey Harrison of the Le Flore County TEA Party requesting an Investigative Audit of the courthouse.
